Hunger Mitao: A Campaign to Help Neighbors In Need

Join Indian Americans across the greater Washington region to solve hunger and build brighter futures through food in partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank! The Indian American Council (IAC) needs your help to provide nourishing meals to kids, families, and seniors with its first ever “Hunger Mitao” campaign.

Hunger Mitao, which means “Wipe out hunger”, is observed throughout August, the month of India’s Independence Day. The vision for Hunger Mitao is to showcase the unity, philanthropy, and spirit of the Indian American community through fund drives all across the region.  Learn more about the IAC and the campaign in our press release here.

Every $1 donated provides the food for 2.5 meals. Together, we can make a big impact for the people in our region!
